At Syddanske Studerende, we have previously worked on a number of projects that have helped enrich students' lives and time at SDU.

Here's a list of some of the different projects we have established or helped create, both past and present.
Campus life
We fight for the University of Southern Denmark to have the best study environment in Denmark.
The project looks at how the building stock at SDU can best be adapted to student life. Since then, SDU has allocated 20 million kr to expand and improve premises for organizations and study councils.

The Friday Bar
Syddanske Studerende helped establish the Friday Bar, and we were also involved when it changed location in September 2012 and opened under the name Nedenunder.
We believe that a Friday bar open to all students at SDU contributes to the good study environment at the university and helps bring students together across study programs.

Denmark's best study environment
The project will ensure that the University of Southern Denmark has Denmark's best study environment that promotes learning and socializing.
This is done through the organization network, where the goal is to ensure continuous support for student organizations at SDU, and through the study board network, where we work to ensure support for study boards and knowledge sharing across programs.

Intro camps
We must ensure that all studies, large and small, have the resources and support they need to ensure a good study start for all new students.
In addition, we fight for all the study start principles to be implemented.

SDU Fitness
SDU Fitness was established by Syddanske Studerende and opened in September 2013. We are still on the board to ensure that we students get the best possible fitness and exercise offers at student-friendly prices.
The Students in Center
The project started in 2010 as a strategic focus area by the executive board and aimed to create a unique educational profile at SDU that could position SDU from the other Danish universities. The educational profile was defined as:
1) teaching and learning principles, and
2) to see learning, teaching, testing, administration, service, communication and student environment from a perceived student perspective.

Transport Campus
The time spent commuting should be minimized as it shouldn't be a burden for students to get to university.
It must always be possible to get to and from campus, even at odd hours of the day.

More and cheaper student housing
As a student, it's important to have a permanent place to live and that it's affordable with SU.
Through our contact with politicians in Odense Municipality, we work across party lines to ensure that more and cheaper student housing will be built in Odense.

The study environment survey
This is a survey conducted every two years by SDU. Here we fight for important issues highlighted by the students in the survey to be solved.
These can be issues such as loneliness among students at SDU. Here it is important that the problems are addressed and that solutions are proposed and implemented.
